Rain or Shine

"Rain Or Shine" is the name of a 1986 hit single by British pop group Five Star, and is their biggest-selling 7-inch record with over 250,000 sales recorded. Peaking at #2 on the UK chart, it was held off the top spot for three weeks by British pop band The Communards with the year's biggest selling song, "Don't Leave Me This Way". "Rain Or Shine" spent a total of 10 weeks inside the UK Top 75, five of those in the Top 10.

"Rain Or Shine" was also the seventh hit to mention David Bowie's fictitious hero Major Tom in the line of the second verse: "Robin Hood and Major Tom; all the super-heroes rolled into one"...

The title of the group's album, Silk And Steel, was taken from the next line of the same verse: "Silk and Steel, that's the way you feel, and how I love you now; rain or shine"...

You're my knight in shining armour
chase the devil and the dragons away.
From manana to manana do I am love you
yes I do do.
Storm or sun - you're the only one
and this is how I feel.

Rain or shine - you'll always be one in a million
my fantasy come true.
Rain or shine - it's you and me
cut me a heart on a tree and say
It's for ever
not a year and a day.

Robin Hood and Major Tom -
all the super heroes rolled into one.
Kiss away my sad and lonelies
do I am love you
yes I do do.
Silk and steel
that's the way you feel

and how I love you now !

Rain or shine - you'll always be one in a million

my fantasy come true. . .
How I love you still !
How I love you now - how I love you now !

Rain or shine - you'll always be one in a million

my fantasy come true.
Rain or shine - it's you and me

cut me a heart on a tree and say
From me to you -

Rain - shine - rain - shine -
Rain or shine - you'll always be one in a million

my fantasy come true.
Rain or shine - it's you and me -
Rain or shine - rain or shine - rain or shine - rain or shine.
